Back-Ups RS1500 Sensitivity issue
Hi there,
I have a Back-Ups RS1500 unit that has recently started showing signs of issues. Upon testing, it fails a self test as "Cannot run test at this time", because, the UPS stays on battery for far too long when the software tells it to complete the test. The software is not the only issue.. I can simulate a power outage by unplugging power, it kicks over to battery, but upon re-introducing AC Power, the battery just keeps on chugging on for anywhere between 1 minute or upwards to 10 minutes before switching back over to AC Power. I have come to the conclusion of it being a "Sensitivity" issue, as I am already as LOW as I can set it. Using the PowerChute Personal edition, I can change the Sensitivity to Medium (Default) - it just stays on battery until it dies. That said, I am sure there is a capacitor that is causing my issue. My other UPS's doing do this, thus, my power isn't the issue (plugged into the same outlet for testing). Any ideas?
