Hi,

You should remove the computer for the UPS. Turn the UPS off and plug it into a power strip. Turn the UPS on and attach a static load to a battery outlet. A lamp that draws 60 to 100 watts works well. Switch the power strip off to kill power to the UPS. The UPS should switch to battery power and the lamp should stay lit. Here is a link to the units run-time chart. http://www.apc.com/products/runtime_for_extendedruntime.cfm?upsfamily=27

If the lamp does not stay lit you should contact local support for assistance. here is a link to local support contact information. http://www.apc.com/in/en/support/contact-us/index.jsp

Hi Syed,

What is the model and serial number of your UPS so I can get an idea of the age of the unit? This information is located on either the back or the bottom of your UPS as below:

Regards,

Nicole
