I have a Back-UPS XS 1500 that has been showing a battery warning. I recently replaced the battery, but it still shows the battery warning, and presumably will do so until the next time it runs (and passes) the battery self-test. I don't want to wait up to 2 weeks for this to occur during its normal schedule, as I suspect there may be another problem with the unit. How can I initiate the self-test manually, without powering down or dropping the existing load?

push the power button once - don't hold it down. this will manually execute a self test.
