Back-UPS Pro BR1000G Beeps At Regular Intervals

My UPS beeps every 5 minutes or so, with no apparent error or issue.  When I read this document:

1000/1100/1400
User’s Manual
990-2012E Revision 6 2/02

It states this:

UPS beeps occasionally. Normal UPS operation. None. The UPS is protecting the load.

However, when I read this document:

EN 990-3804B
10/2014

There is no mention of an occasional beep.

Which is correct?

If the system is connected to a computer running APC Power Chute software. You will be able to see the active fault / error codes.

Please relay the data, event, ups logs here for review. Based on your description it sounds like the system was in AVR / Battery Mode.

The LCD would indicate the same if either mode was active. Lastly, manually initiate a Self Test and report back the results.

I do not have Power Chute installed. 

I initiated a self test (holding down power button for about 6 seconds) and no issue was indicated (all of the LCD display information looked normal to me).

When running, the device shows normal operation, does not indicate on battery mode.

I reset the event counter and will monitor to see if I can correlate any event to the regular beeping noise.
