Hi,
i just noticed today that my ES 700 still provides power to the surge protection outlets even when the device is fully switched off (no green LEDs). Is that normal?

@Anonymous user
Yes. The switch is for the Battery/Surge outlets only.

Ok, but why are there 2 switches then? What`s the purpose? It would be sufficient, if there would be 1 master switch only (for activating the Battery/Surge outlets. And if i switch that off, i still could use all outlets (just without the Battery-Backup)..
And why is it not possible to switch the device fully off (like ordinary multiple sockets without battery backup)?

Does the button you are referring to have a leaf on it? If so, that is the switch for the controlled outlets. When enable the controlled outlets will turn off when the master outlet turns off, or when the master outlet fall below x watts.
I have attached a copy of the User's Guide the discusses the controlled outlets.

Sorry, but can´t be correct. The button with the leaf (the second one) is only for the battery/surge outlets! If i do not switch it on, only the controlled/surge protection outlets are working, but not the battery backup!
I guess you misunderstood my previous thoughts completely!
