Hi,
I had a short power outage yesterday. During the night, the ES 700 then developed a growingly louder, constant beeping sound. I disconnected it in the morning, and reconnected it later. Now it seems to work again without a sound. However, when I disconnect the power to test the device, it makes some noise (not beeping, more like hissing), and a normal light bulb, which I have connected to the device for testing purpose, shows a noticeable constant flickering.
I would appreciate any advice on what could be the cause of the issue. Maybe the battery? Or is the device itself damaged?
Thanks!
Regards, Robert

Hello Robert,
I am sorry that you are having issues with your Back-UPS. What you are describing with the flickering light when on battery would point to a weak battery. At this point, I just have a few questions to get more information.
What is the SN of the UPS?
Has the battery been replaced? If so, how long ago?
Have you run a self-test lately? If not, please run one by holding down the power button until you hear the second beep. Also, when you do this, please make sure there is load (things plugged into the UPS and turned on)
Thanks,
Shanon
