Back-UPS ES 400 turning off after power failure

Good morning, recently we have had quite a few power outages. The issue I have is that if the power stays out too long, the UPS turns off completely and will not power on by itself (and supply power to connected devices) even if the power resumes. This might be by design, but leads to a situation where if nobody is at home not having the UPS in service is superior to using it because otherwise my devices that I rely on will stay off until somebody returns home. Maybe somebody can comment on this. Thank you, best regards!
