Back-UPS CS-650 dead after troubled battery replacement
I have an old APC Back-UPS CS 650, battery RBC17 12V 9Ah 6,3mm faston pins. I replaced the battery with a new RBC17 12V 7,5Ah 4,8mm faston pins; after some weeks of regular use the overload/replace battery red leds started to flash continuously.
So I replaced the battery with a new RBC17 12V 10Ah 6,3mm faston pins. Fter one day of use, the APC is now almost dead, no output, no flashing leds nor alarm sounds, only some little buzzs and strange whispers and casual briefly lighted lamps.
At this point, I think it is useless to install Powerchute to verify anything, so I ask if someone could suggest me a test for the device or the batteries. Thank you!
