I have an old Back-UPS BR 800 powering a switch and raspberry pi. This has recently started to frequently decide that the power supply has been interrupted so switches to battery very briefly. I don't think that there is a problem with the incoming power supply. apctest self-test passes with no errors reported.
The output when a failure is detected looks like this (as provided apcupsd):

Is this behaviour likely to be a fault that's developed because of the age of the UPS? It's nearly 10 years old so I guess maybe reaching the end of it's life?

Hi,
Yes it could be caused by the UPS or it could be caused by the incoming power. 1 thing you can try is to lower the sensitivity to see if the issue is resolved. If changing the sensitivity does correct the issue then the UPS is interpreting an issue with the input power. This interpretation could be incorrect or not. Based on the age as with other electronics components can and do fail or it could be slight fluctuations within the AC.
