Hi,
I have tried to run a self test on my Back-UPS RS 800 but after around 30 secs it goes to overload on the UPS and the pc turns off. I have 2 monitors and my pc plugged in which adds up to 405 watts and I have managed to run a self test before but this was sometime ago.
We also suffered a power cut recently and I am wondering if this has affected the UPS somehow?
Thanks.

Hi,
Your load is nearly 75%. If do a quick selftest and UPS drop , it's maybe cause to
1.Voltage
How much your input voltage and how much Output voltage of UPS in Battery mode , Line mode ?
When the output in Battery mode low. When you transfer to battery (do selftest ...), it need the current more than line mode, the over load may happen.
Tried to setup high Voltage .
2. Power factor of your load.
some equipment they got pf > 0.9. In line interactive mode. The UPS can supply watt and Va may be OK.
When transfer to battery mode, UPS is design for 0.7pf so the watt supply to the load may low and not enough.

Good day Kelly,
When was the last time that you had the battery replaced? Can you run a self-test without any load on it? I would like to see if the replace battery indicator would come up solid.
