Back-UPS 550 persistent audible tone

Hi, I have a Back-UPS 550 model BE550G-LM (4B1710P12448). 

A couple of days ago a constant audible tone turned on and it wont shut off. The battery back up doesn't work neither with the APC turned on nor off. When I turn it on, a green light beeps for a couple of seconds in silence, but after that an alternating red/green light flashes along with the constant tone.  

The tone and the alternating red/green flashes occur whether I'm using 1 of the 8 plugs or none. 

According to the User Manual Back-UPS BE550G/BE700G I might need a Battery Replacement but I don't think we got the Back-UPS that long ago. 

 

Two questions:

1.- I think we are eligible for warranty replacement, If you think we are, what should we do? who do we contact?...

2.- By having turned off the Back-UPS the tone goes off meaning that only 4 of the 8 plugs work. But i normally have 6 plugs in use. Is there a way to still be able to use the 8 plugs without the constant tone on?
