Howdy! My UPS has been showing some unusual information on the screen and I've lost some functionality. Can y'all help me interpret what's happening here?
Based on the manual, the unit seems to be in AVR mode, compensating for high input voltage. I've had this unit for about 3 years now, and this C.23 situation has been the case for several months.
Any idea what this is?

I would submit a service request with APC to identify if that code is valid. You could try a brain dead procedure to see if the unit is in some unknown state.
Disconnect all the connected loads first. Once done remove power from the wall. Disconnect the battery from the unit. Press and hold the power button until you hear a click / beep. Wait about a minute and connect the battery and AC Mains.
What happens??
Also, this would be a good time to install Power Chute software as this will capture the error code in case the display is bad or the main CPU was corrupted. Obviously you’ll want to install and connect to the UPS with Power Chute BEFORE you brain dead the unit.

The journey continues. I finally had a chance to power everything off and give this a go.
First: PowerChute reported no problems after multiple tests. It also reported a load, battery runtime, etc. on par with what nut had been reporting in my pfsense. So that was somewhat bad news.
Then I did the brain dead procedure. The first time I did it, I got the beep/click pretty quickly after pressing the power button. When I reconnected everything, though, my screen looks like the attached image: almost every indicator on (solid, not flashing). Hitting the display button only cycles through some AVR icons. Holding the mute button will unmute the device, but doesn't change the display. It ran on the battery just fine (with accompanying beeps), although I didn't plug anything into it to test it under load.
I did the brain dead process a second time (I got neither beep nor click, even after several seconds, so perhaps it doesn't count), but that didn't change the display situation.
I'll submit a service request, although I'm out of the warranty window, so I'm not sure if they'll help.
