I've been using a BX700UI for around 8 years, replaced the battery 3 years ago and recently running with no problems supporting a 10 min outage a few months back. Just been away for 10days and found that it's now impossible to turn on. Before leaving i disconnected most major devices (desktops/laptops/screens/NAS etc), just leaving some low power devices connected - Modem, switch and landline phone.
Its been on charge since last night, and no matter how long i press the power button nothing much seems to happen - slight green flicker in the power button. Disconnected and reconnected the battery - the same, and also on and off load. I'm confident that before we left the battery was in good condition (approx 15 min supply outage comfortably supported)
Likely to be the battery or the charging circuit, or something else i can check? Considering the age and replacement cost of both a new battery (which might not fix it) and a replacement unit (which probably will), i may just replace it.

Replace the unit as the average service life for that specific unit is 3-8 years. You got your use out of it. 👍
