BX2200MI-MS constant hissing noise

Hi, I just bought a BX2200MI-MS a few days ago, and when I plugged it in, it started making a hissing noise. At first, I thought it was making the noise when charging, but it kept making the noise even when the battery was full. I only have my PC plugged into the UPS. The noise is the same when under heavy load and no load, with the PC turned off. It's clearly audible from 2 meters away. Is this normal? I've attached a video recording of the sound. Any help is appreciated 🙂

The system is rated as outputting 40 dBA in sound level at one meter distance.

All larger UPS systems from every maker produces some level of sound no matter how low especially if it incorporates a fan.

Your options are to return, replace, or purchase another completely different model / brand.

You may submit a warranty replacement claim with APC and see if the refurbished unit has the same issue.

50/50 chance in the outcome so let us all know how it all turns out.
