Hi,
I have a BX1400UI connected to the NVR of my security camera system. It runs nicely during a power outage and switches off when the battery has become depleted. However it doesn't then switch on again when power is restored, I have to press the button on the front.
How do I get the UPS to turn on again when power is restored?

Hi Kevin,
The BX1400UI will transfer to battery for a number of reasons. Once it has transferred for High or Low voltage and the unit turns off, the UPS will wait for "adequate" utility power to return. The UPS utilizes a transfer variance or hysteresis, which must be met for the unit to return to the online state. This variance is to keep the unit from rapidly changing operating states due to power fluctuations. For example, if the UPS transfers to battery power at 155vac, utility power must exceed the hysteresis which is pre-programmed into the unit's intelligence. This hysteresis is typically 8-12volts and can not be adjusted in the field. Based on your description of the situation, I believe this may be the source of your issue.
