BR800 fetures question (new question!)

Hello al,

I'm about to buy a APC BR800 tomoroow. I have a few questions before I but that UPS.

1) I know the Powerchute software can shut down my PC during a power outage. When mains power comes back on, can the BR 800 start up my computer automatically?

2) Is there anyway of muting the audible alarms of the BR800 using the Powerchute software?

1) Yes, as long as you select the correct option in your computer's BIOS that tells it to turn back on once power returns (i.e. the UPS turning off & back on after utility is restored).

2) Yes, you can configure alarm options via the PowerChute Personal Edition software.

Ive got another question regarding the BR 800

I am planning to connect my router, modem along with my monitor and PC to the BR 800.

When the Power Chute software shutdowns the PC during a power outtage and the router, modem and monitor are still switched on (from power from the UPS battery), will the BR 800 continue to provide power to the router, modem and monitor till it runs out? Or will it shut itself off as well after it has shutdown the PC, thus not providing power the router, modem and monitor?

the UPS will shut power to its battery backup outlets after the PC has shutdown gracefully by the PCPE software after the UPS has on battery for X mins.
