Hi people!
Good Day.
This is the first time that i'm writing in this foro...
My name is Nicolás, I'm from Argentina.
In my job, we are using the BR550G-AR UPS. For each unit, we have connected 2 servers to the UPS (Running Windows with the PowerChute application), but just one of them are connected for USB to the BR550G-AR UPS.
Mi question is: When the electrical supply is cut, It's possible send a shutdown order to both servers? (including the not connected server per usb)
Apologies for my bad english, jeh.
Thanks and regards.

Hi,
It is not possible with PowerChute Personal Edition but it is possible with APCUPSD. You can configure APCUPSD so one UPS powers multiple computers and a copy of apcupsd running on one computer will act as a host while the others will act as clients.
Note: if the system acting as the host is powered down the clients will not know if the UPS is on line or on battery>

Thanks for your answer Bill.
Just one other thing...
I'm absolved of this case, but my partner are following with that.
I tried to install APCUPSD in a computer running Windows Server 2003 (connected to the UPS via USB), and in an other computer with Windows 7.
The application work perfectly!
But, the problem is present when my partner try to install APCUPSD in Windows Server 2008 R2 (64bits). The application can't read the information of the UPS connected via USB (The label status say "COMMLOST").
In other site, i read about apcupsd-3.14.9-test1 and about the driver included in that release.
I passed this information to my partner, but he informed me that doesn't work.
When I can, I will leave further details... but for the moment, have you any other idea to try?
Thank you very much for all your help.
