BR1500G behavior during grid outage switch to tesla powerwalls

So during a grid outage, there's usually a very brief hiccup when my home switches to our tesla powerwalls for power. My 1500pro detects that hiccup and switches to battery power. However, once the powerwalls kick in and the whole home is powered, the UPS seems to stay on battery and will drain down until it starts to beep and eventually shuts down. Am i missing something? Shouldn't the unit detect the power is on, and stop using the battery? Seems like I need to shut everything down, unplug the UPS, replug it back in, in order to get it back online and working as it should. Appreciate any thoughts/ideas. Thanks!

You can change the sensitivity from the default of (medium) to low. This will force the unit to accept a wider input voltage.

Thus, not go into battery only mode.

I have appended the full users manual that explains how to do so on page 3.

Sensitivity has been set to low for a while, so that's not the issue. But thanks for the input. I'm wondering if it has to do with the frequency range. I recall reading somewhere that when i go off grid and am being powered by powerwalls the frequency might fall out of +/-1Hz from 60 range, and APC sees the power as "dirty." I'm doing some more digging on this. Thanks!

On the higher end models you can define the upper / lower transfer voltage, upper / lower bypass, sensitivity (power quality), output frequency percentage, phase lock.

The UPS you have outputs a stepped approximately / modified sine wave vs pure sine wave. You may see better results using a higher end model that offers the features (options) I listed up above and produces a pure sine wave. πŸ‘
