I was wondering how far can I place the UPS from the loads. My house has two levels: the basement where I'd like to place the UPS and the upper level where all the loads will be placed.
I understand that I have to use as many extended power cables as the loads are. So a question that arises here is: can I use ONLY ONE power cable for all my loads? Those will be an alarm system with a siren and an NVR CCTV system with 8 poe cams for the time being.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you Brad for your quick and detailed reply!
I 'll try to setup my wiring according to your suggestion.
In case I anything further to ask let a "window" opened to drop a question...
Cheers,
Thanassis

I have an SU2200 in my garage which reticulates to 3 sets of UPS GPOs in the house. I wired the whole lot up in 2.5mm2 cable just the same as standard power cable feeding the GPOs.
The most important factor is voltage drop. Use a big enough cable and it won't be a problem. I put a 3A breaker (I originally had a SU1400 on there) in my infeed box (between the outlet on the UPS and the fixed house wiring) to protect against my mother in law plugging her hair dryer into the UPS outlet. My house load maxes out at about 2A, so well within the breaker limit.
A UPS outlet is no different from a normal power outlet. Minimise voltage drop and you're all good. You can certainly run all your loads on a single socket. Just remember the more bits in the chain the higher the chance of one or more elements failing.
