BR1300G Permanently silence on-battery beeping?

I'm considering purchasing the Back-UPS Pro 1300G (BR1300G). Does anyone know if it is possible to permanently stop the annoying beeps from sounding when this UPS goes into battery mode? We often have short power outages in the middle of the night in this area and I'd rather not be awakened by these beeps (UPS in bedroom). ... I was able to disable the beeps on my old Back-UPS XS1000 using PowerChute on a PC (which I had to borrow because there is no equivalent software for the Mac). Can PowerChute do the same for the BR1300G? - Thxs, Tom

I have the same question for this model. We are thinking of ordering a quantity for work. The last thing we want is to get a call at all hours that the UPS is beeping. Power outages are beyond my control and someone is working on it.

The manual was not clear if the alarm disable is permanent or not. Am I correct in assuming the general status enable disable function is a permanent alarm disable? This is for the BR1300g
