I just noticed today when I shut my system down that my monitor stayed on. I checked each outlet on the Back-UPS Pro BP1100 & there is full power to them even if the unit is switched off. I checked the battery backup by unplugging the UPS with the computer system running & it works fine. No unusual lights on the front & everything else seems ok except the switched outlets are always on (hot).
Does anyone have a clue what is happening? I'd hate to throw it away just because of the switched outlet failure because I can always manually switch the monitor off.

That's exactly what's happening. I'm just wondering if a larger problem is lurking in the shadows & just waiting to spring out just when I can't afford to be without a UPS. At the moment it works fine as a UPS - just no switching the outlets off.

I wish it was in warranty, but it's 6 yrs old & I put new batteries in it a little over a year ago. I think I will use it 'till the batteries die & then decide whether to replace or repair. Shipping charges will probably be a repair killer since this thing is quite heavy even without batteries.
Thanks,
Tim
