I purchased this BACKUPS for use with my sleep BiPap machine. Not much load, but it continually makes a sound like a switch, starts beeping 3 times about every 25 to 30 seconds. The power light flashes. After several minutes, get the same switch sound, the beeping stops and the power light is solid. How can I get rid of this? Power to the house has not been interrupted.
Thanks.

Hi @47Racer,
To diagnose the alarm, you may refer to the user manual provided below. It looks like the UPS is configured at Quiet Alarm. Also, I am not sure if this was shared with you but we do not recommend using the UPS on life support products such as BiPap machines.
I have shared with you the Life Support Policy that I was able to find as well.
User Manual Back-UPS - BE600M1/600M1-LM/670M1, BN650M1/650M1-CA/675M1
As a general policy, American Power Conversion (APC) does not recommend the use of any of its products in life support applications where failure or malfunction of the APC product can be reasonably expected to cause the failure of the life support device or to significantly affect its safety or effectiveness. APC does not recommend the use of any of its products in direct patient care. APC will not knowingly sell its products for use in such applications unless it receives in writing assurances satisfactory to APC that
(a) the risks of injury or damage have been minimized,
(b) the customer assumes all such risks, and
(c) the liability of American Power Conversion is adequately protected under the circumstances.
Examples of devices considered to be life support devices are neonatal oxygen analyzers, nerve stimulators (whether used for anesthesia, pain relief, or other purposes), autotransfusion devices, blood pumps, defibrillators, arrhythmia detectors and alarms, pacemakers, hemodialysis systems, peritoneal dialysis systems, neonatal ventilator incubators, ventilators for both adults and infants, anesthesia ventilators, infusion pumps, and any other device designated as critical by the U.S.F.D.A.Hospital grade wiring devices and reduced leakage currents that meet medical safety standards may be ordered as options on many APC UPS systems. APC does not claim that units with these modifications are certified or listed as such by APC or any other organization, therefore these units do not meet the requirements for use in direct patient care.

Thank you for the reply. However, I didn't get an answer to my question. First, I have a automatic whole house generator that supplies all of the power needs id purchased power does fail. I have the ups attached to my cpap just to avoid the sudden loss of air if power does fail. This ups provides power for the 10 second delay between purchased power failure and the generator coming on line. Second, I this is a new ups that replaced an older uips that replacement batteries were no longer available. The original ups never did make these sounds. Third, I have 2 other ups systems running in the house and neither of those make any noise. So, why does this new BN675M1 continually make those annoying beeps at all hours of the day whether anything is running or not. Is the battery defective?

Hi @47Racer
As mentioned, it could be that the unit is configured at Quiet Alarm. Kindly check if you could change it to a different setting by following the user manual.
I also recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team for your country.

I followed the manual to set it up. The manual doesn't really provide that much help. Wish there was a way to contact the Technical Support Team by email. Chat and phone have such long wait times.
