BK650MI resurrection program

Hi there,

Recently i had just cleaned up my junk store and found 1 BK650MI series UPS.  So far, i do not know the UPS condition as the battery for the UPS is confirmed faulty (I can see buldging on the battery).  I had looked around for the new RBC4 battery but it costs around MYR300 here in Malaysia.  Therefore, can i take 2x 12V 7.6AH battery (which i have on my other UPS) and test it on this unit first to check if the UPS is ok ?

What's the rating of the initial battery?

Any battery will work with the system cos i have SU3000, SU2200 and 1500 that i use as inverter with 200AH batteries and they works very well after carrying out runtime calibration.

So if you're using any battery other than the original battery, endeavour to carry out runtime calibration to enable the system re-calculate and adjust to the newly installed batteries.

Thanks for the prompt response.. Unfortunately, I am not really deep into these technical stuff.. What I got so far from the research would be having this 2 datasheet which is 

1) This is the battery I used as alternative (My model is MS 12-7.6) 12V 7.6AH version

2) This is the original battery comes with my BK650MI aka RBC4

Not sure if i am doing the right thing... I even charged 1 units of this MS12-7.6 yesterday, but after 6 hours, battery seems weak.  Just my 2cents maybe the battery faulty, guess i will try another one today.. taught ?

That MS12-7.6 you charged, did you mean you used it for 6hrs or charged it for 6hrs, more so, you talked of trying another battery have you do e that?
