Hello,
I am new here and need a bit of assistance please. I recently had a laopt motherboard get fried due to the Belkin UPS failure (I will never buy another Belkin anything!). My question is which UPS is the better one to purchase? I am looking at the APC BE750G and the APC BE750BB units. I have read the specs and see the differences in them but which one has the true longer life, and would be good to buy.
I will have 2 laptops, 1 17in monitor, 1 external DVD burner, 2 Seagate 250GB external hard drives, 1 80GB external hard drive and maybe a 60w lamp.
Will either one of these UPS' do the job? I am very limited on the amount of electrical sockets I can use (2) one already has an APC with two printers, 2 Hubs, 1 Cable Modem, 1 D_Link Wireless Router, 1 print server and 1 60w lamp.
Thank you for your help and thoughts. Don't tell me I am crazy with so many things to plugin, my wife tells me that all the time.
Kindest regards

Well the first thing you'd want to take into consideration is the VA size of the Belkin you previously owned. If you had the same things plugged into that, you would want to get a UPS of equal VA or higher, depending on the runtime. You're looking at having 8 things plugged into the battery back-up side...which you won't get from any Back-UPS at all. Ideally, you could put the two laptops on the surge side for surge protection, since they have their own battery. If the 750VA range was what the Belkin was in, you would probably be better suited for the BE750BB, as I see no reason to have the G. If you had a PC with peripherals the G would allow you to power down the PC on the master outlet, then power off peripherals on the battery side as well. However, that probably won't make any difference with your laptop setups.
