I have a BE750G. A week ago I noticed the green power light flashing, but didn't have a chance to investigate further. Yesterday the unit started beeping. I power-cycled it, and got the following sequences:
Beep, approximately 15 flashes, then power light went off. Then Approximately every 5 seconds the power light would flash and the unit would emit a beep.
I did the "brain dead" procedure described in this post. Now when I plug it in, the red battery light flashes and nothing else happens.
Question: Do I need a new battery, or a new unit?
Thanks,
T

Update: I plugged it in again today to see what it would do. After plugging in and pressing the power button, the on/off light flashes 16 times. Then all lights are off, and it emits a short tone approximately every 5 seconds. The red battery light is no longer flashing.
Once again, advice whether this is just a battery issue, or the unit itself has gone bad, would be appreciated.
Thanks,
T

Hi,
You should check the battery voltage to see if it is good. A good battery when disconnected from the UPS and fully charged should have a voltage around 13.6 volts DC. If the battery has voltage less than 12 volts DC it should be replaced.
