Hi, I've just bought one of these plugged it in and installed powerchute personal addition. Everything appears to be working fine until the mains is disconnected. I've set runtime to preserve battery power with a short delay (for testing purposes) and after that delay a message appears (on the console login which is a member of 'Users') saying the computer will hibernate and then counts down and then nothing..... shutdown /h works fine.
When not using powerchute but windows native power management, it works fine but then if power is restored before the battery runs flat then the computer will not restart.
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
PowerChute Personal Edition was not designed to run on a Windows Server. We offer PowerChute Business Edition the work in conjunction with the Smart-UPS product line for Windows Servers. You however use APCUPSD with the Server and Back-UPS to initiate a graceful shutdown and automatic restart.
If the communication method is USB you will need to install the APCUPSD USB driver and to have the system automatically restart you will need to configure KillPower. KillPower is discussed in the APCUPSD User's Guide.
