I purchased a BACK-UPS ES - BE850G2-UK in February 2022. This week it is giving the long continuous beep of an overloaded device, even without any devices connected to it.
I have checked with PowerChute software and it states the battery is 100% charged and running on AC power whilst connected and correctly states battery when unplugged.

After speaking to a Technical Support representative is looks as though the unit is faulty. However according to support the warranty is only two years. I have been made aware of the Trade-In program for 25% off a new device.
Quite disappointing that the warranty was not three years as stated in documentation.

Given you’re in the UK the APC warranty is three years. Please submit a RMA with APC Technical Support in your region.
They may send out a replacement battery or entire unit based on some basic diagnostic testing. Insure you have photos of the purchase receipt, UPS Serial number, and battery production sticker.

Thanks for replying Teken. I have been made aware that the warranty is only 3 years for EU countries. As I am in the U.K. it is only 2 years. You can close this thread if you wish.
