I recently bought a Back UPS 1400VA to replace my old UPS. In my area, the voltage drops often to 190V (should be 220) so the AVR kicks in everyday. This is normal, but, My second monitor and my speakers turn off for a second, every time the AVR kicks in, wich is very annoying. They are both plugged in the two upper sockets of the UPS. How can I solve this problem? Can I set the AVR to allow 190V? This should be fine for my electronics, right? Can I make it faster somehow? My older and cheaper UPS didn't have that problem and the AVR was instant. Powerchute doesn't seem to have options for the AVR. Please help.

This looks like the exact model. Should I decrease the minimum voltage transfer point or increase it?

Hi,
You can adjust the transfer voltage. You can also adjust the sensitivity setting of the unit. The default in medium. I suggest working with those setting to see what setting would be best.

The transfer voltage is for the battery operation. My UPS doesn't go on battery operation at 190V and this is normal. The problem is the AVR boost. I tried every sensitivity setting and the problem doesn't seem to go away. The Screen turns off every time the AVR kicks in and my audio interface bugs out and loses connection to the speakers which is very weird. Anything else I can try?

Hi,
Changing the transfer points will change the behaviour of AVR. If you provide the exact Back-UPS model number I may be able to look up the specification.
