Alternating On Line led and overload led
I have a back ups xs 1200 which recently developed a problem. After turning it on, The online led flashes green 8 times. Then a fan spins up. Then the overload led flashes red, then the online led flashes green, then the overload led flashes red, then the online led flashes green, then I hear a relay click. Then the cycle repeats. How do I fix this?

Hi @Anonymous user
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query. I am sorry to hear about the issue that you are having with the APC UPS.
If the UPS logic reset procedure wouldn't work, kindly DM me the model and serial of the UPS, and if you can send a video that would help as well.
I have provided the FAQ article below for your perusal.
