Having just arrived at this company, one of my first tasks was to get their APC XS 1000 up and running again after it sat dormant with a bad battery.
I ordered a new RBC-32 battery, installed it and plugged it in to charge for the recommended 12 hrs.
The battery will charge in this manner, correct?
I ran the battery thru 4 cycles charging it and then bringing it down.
Now when I plug it in, it (PowerChute) tells me it has only 6% battery life and it beeps and flickers like crazy. Then it says I should get a new battery. This surely cannot be the case since the one I have is only 1 week old, and has not been subjected to any kind of serious load whatsoever.
Anyone with any insight into this, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.
