I recently bought a home out of foreclosure...generator was in place (generac 8KW hsb) but the homes panel and transfer switch were removed...
I would like to use the APC Universal transfer switch as I already have one---and the generac ones are an inferior product and cost even more!
Is there a manual or guide for hooking up generac standby generators to the Bi10??
looks like a 4 wire control system similar to Honda...

Hi chicagomike,
The generac 8KW hsb is 120/240vac single phase split phase. I UTS10BI would be a perfect fit for it.I would certainly recommend consulting with an electrician for installation. The UTS10BI is an automatic transfer switch, however does not come with the necessary connector for full Automatic function. There are some additional forum posts here which describe the necessary components and recommended way to obtain them.
