I have an APC UPS (Smart-UPS RT 1000) for my Samsung LED TV. I have another local non-branded UPS. Can I attach my APC UPS with the local one (local UPS output as input of APC UPS) in order to get a longer backup time? Someone advised me not to attach both UPS as it is not suitable. Your help is needed in this regard.

It is not recommended to attach 2 UPSs together. Doing so voids the warranty and could be against local electrical code. if you need longer backup time and your Smart-UPS is a SURT1000XL you should look at adding a SURT48XLBP.
