APC UPS Model BX1500M

I have installed a new unit. The non-battery backup side functions, while the battery backup side does not provide power output. The battery was initially removed and reinstalled according to the installation instructions. I installed the PowerShute personal serial software. Please advise. A New User.

All new systems must be allowed to charge the RBC for a minimum of 24 hours after AC mains connection and power up.

Have you pressed the power button to turn the unit on?!? Does the LCD indicate the system is online?

Verify the rear breaker is not tripped by pressing on the rear (centre) breaker button three times and report back if it needed to be reset. If pressing the power button does not turn the unit on.

Does the system display or make any sounds indicating an active fault / errors after it’s been activated?!?

Make a video of the unit plugged into AC Mains. Press the power button and provide a close up view of the LCD.

I was apparently too impatient to wait for the charging period. Unit works fine. Thank you for your response.
