APC UPS ES700

Hi

I have since years an APC UPS ES700 and i never had a problems with different devices.

 Recently i changed the modem router buying an ASUS DSL-AC68U.

With this device the UPS doesn't work.

When power is down the UPS is doing a strange beep for some seconds and is not able to maintain the power.

This occurs even if the modem router  is the only device attached to the UPS.

I wrote to ASUS but any replay, any idea ?

Hi Luca,

Would you describe the "strange beep" as being a constant tone or a series a short beeps? Are there any lights associated with this beeping?

Can you please provide the exact model number and serial number for this UPS? You will find this information located on a small white sticker on the bottom of the unit.

Hi Squirrel

The sound is strange not equal to standard sound of UPS, is a constant tone similar to when something  of electronic is  burning.

Model is APC UPS ES700  BE700-IT  5B0640U02452

Hi Luca,

Based on your serial number, this unit is 11yrs old. Have you ever replaced the internal battery? 

I have attached the User Manual for the BE700-IT, which may help you identify the actual Audible Tone you are hearing.

Given the age of the unit, I would suggest looking into a complete replacement and not just the battery. The average life of our units is approx. 5-7yrs. I would say you've done quite well.
