Given:
You have 30 days to return the old equipment.
APC pays shipping for the old equipment.
Program works best if you have a good reseller.
You have to disconnect the battery although APC doesn't state it. Your shipper requires it.
Questions:
In the past APC included boxes with the to return labels. Do they still.
Can I remove and recycle the batteries on my own to make packaging the old equipment easier.
thanks for any help.

Jim,
Typically if a trade-up is done it most often is of a unit that is of a near equivalent size, in which case the new box received can be used to ship back the old unit. I have not seen where we could send a box along with the label, although if done through a reseller maybe they can accomodate this request.
If you wish to remove and recycle the battery yourself, this is ok. The reason we cover shipping costs is to ensure that we get the old unit back to recycle it properly for you. If you want to assist in this process, we sure can't argue with that!

Mike - Thanks for the reply. Great, I can removing the batteries.
We bought a Symmetra LX 12Kva so our trade in are multiple UPS; some rack mount SU2200 and some tower SU2000 UPS. Taking the batteries out will make this easier.
