When I pressed the button for UPS self-test, I heard immediately a click sound and the screen of the UPS switched off. Then, the screen turns on and started showing the status. Apparently, the self-test failed and caused a trip of my laser.
How can I fix it?

Sounds like a weak battery that needs to be fully charged or replaced. The battery inside can endure 260 full (100%) depleted cycles but doing so will decrease the battery’s service life to less than half.
The advertised service life is 3-5 years which is affected by temperature, cycles, and number of DOD (Depth of Discharge) events before power is restored.
You can do a simple test and compare it to the APC runtime chart to get an idea of battery health. If the APC runtime chart says a 100 watt load offers 30 minute on battery. But you only see 15 minutes that gives you a good idea. If however the UPS shuts down immediately or say 1 minute into the load test.
Battery is toast, and needs to be replaced! ☝️
