I went to the technical specifications page for the 230V Smart-UPS line, more specifically the SUA750 to 3000VA and there it's written:
Input voltage range for main operations
160 - 285V
Input voltage adjustable range for mains operation
151 - 302V
Then I downloaded the manual and it says the minimum low transfer point allowed for the Smart-UPS line is 196V for 230V mains. 196V is a too high number for the low transfer point when the unit is operating on unstable grids, the unit would switch too often to battery power.
What is the correct information, the one on the manual or the one on the APC web site?
Thanks!

Oh, sorry!
Yeah, the manual makes you believe the unit transfers to battery at 196V.
Thanks once again!

hi rau,
[take a look at this article|http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=715]
i realize it isnt too clear but i believe the values on the tech specs take AVR into account and the voltage transfer points noted in the manual dont.
