APC Pro 900 needs new battery after a year?
Hi All, I hope someone can make a suggestion here...
I've had my APC Pro900 a few years, and last July (2022) the "dead battery" indicator was displayed. I bought a replacement battery (genuine APC APCRBC123), fitted it with no problems and its been fine ever since.
However, yesterday (10 Oct 2023) the UPS started beeping and the "dead battery" light displayed again.
The UPS is sat on the tiled floor of my office so in ambient temps, only has to cope with very occasional, and short, power outages, and normal load is only about 25 to 30%.
Apparently these batteries should be good for 3-5 years, so why has this one died in just over a year..?
Could it just be a bad connection, so taking the battery out and reseating it would fix the problem..?
