I bought the J15 recently, the unit is faulty, when I powered it on after 5-10 minutes everything shuts off and the alarm goes off. I believe the error it said was "int. battery overtemp."
Anyways after calling APC, they said that installing a new replacement battery would fix it. So they mailed me one. Problem is they mailed me the battery for the J10 not the J15. I called APC again today and they agreed to send me the J15 battery, however it will not be in stock again for a month. I am guessing that is why I was sent the J10, because the 15 was out of stock.
My question is will the J10 battery work in the J15? I am eager just to find out if a new battery will fix my unit. This has all been one huge headache, and I am just worried that after I finally get the right battery, and waiting a month and a half from initial purchase, that I will install it and the alarm still goes off, shuts off, and nothing changed.
More info would be great, THANK YOU!
-J

hi
unfortunately, this won't work. i checked on it and the battery connectors are completely different between the different batteries/units.
