APC ES 350, constant tone, no light

Hi all, got a recurring, constant issue that is becoming especially frusterating.

I've got 7 or 8 350 UPCs here that are all suffering from the same symptomes.

When powered on, the unit will beep once, I hear a click, then the green light comes one, then it goes off and a constant tone will sound.

If I understand correctly it means that the unit is overloaded.

However there is nothing plugged into it!

I have attempted to do the step in post #3 here :http://forums.apc.com/spaces/9/struxureware-for-data-centers/forums/general/4964/isx-manager-ping-fa...

but to no avail.

So, I've got, Constant Tone and no Light, with no load on the system. There is a new battery in it. I have checked the user's manual, but none of the troubleshooting options apply.

I've even tried swapping PCB board between units, but it has no difference.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the help JonPro.

I also came to the conclusion that the units were toast. Nice to get some confirmation.
They are the Back-UPS ES 350.
The Dead Units are model BE350U, and one BE350U-CN

S/Ns are:
AB0446144381
AB0449141626
AB0446248687
AB0446247755
&
AB0443147022

I did manage to get new batteries into an additional 3 units(BE350U's) that are now functional.
