I recently purchased an APC Back-UPS Pro 2200VA (BGM2200B-GR) and want to connect it to Ecoflow Delta 2 for charging in order to increase the life of my equipment on battery during a power outage and be able to disconnect the power station without turning off the equipment.
The UPS charges (is in "on-line" mode) when directly connected to the power grid and operates on battery power during a power outage. When I connect it to the Ecoflow Delta 2, the UPS charges while power station is connected to a power grid, but switches to a battery power as soon as I disconnect the power station from a power grid instead. Sensitivity is set to low, automatic voltage regulation icon is not illumitated.
Do you have any ideas why it is switch on battery istead of staying "on-line"? How to identify what is wrong?
However, when a UPS is connected to the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max, it remains “on-line” during a power outages and switches to battery power after discharging the power station battery. Additionally, my old APC Back-UPS Pro BR 1600VA (BR1600MI) UPS as well remains "on-line" connected to the Ecoflow Delta 2 during power outages.

First, the obvious safety and code compliance information will be called out. What you’re doing voids any kind of warranty on the hardware assuming it’s still in warranty.
As it relates to NEC / CEC this is also not in compliance and is also a safety risk! Any electrical fault resulting in a fire would void any insurance coverage you have in force today.
Regardless of the above the most common reason for the UPS to remain on battery mode is dirty power.
Dirty power can be improper voltage, frequency, THD, sine wave. If you have access to a scope measure the wave form and THD. You’ll probably find one or both are showing variance that the UPS doesn’t like.
You can adjust the AVR to the widest range and report back the results. In the interim connect the system to a computer running APC PCSS application and provide the following logs for review: Event, Data, UPS.
Provide clean logs while the two systems are connected together. Initiate the tests you outlined above and leave in place for 5 minutes than reconnect AC Mains.
The goal is to see before, during, and after system operations during a simulated lights out / grid down event.

I suspect there are differences in the Delta 2 Max that the APC UPS detects that are not integral to the Delta 2. Some additional information may be available in the APC error log as to what is detected under each power station situation. Possible candidates are Sine Wave irregularities or voltage fluctuations. Also Ecoflow help may be able to clarify what differences in the two models may be contributing to their use as a UPS backup.
