APC Back-UPS ... I pulled up the Tabs on the Battery removing the wording and the Battery Fell Apart

I just opened up my brand new "APC Back-UPS 650W" and I see the big words to Pull Up the Tabs on the Battery (thinking that your supposed to remove that). I pulled the Tabs removing the sticky wording and the Battery falls apart into 2 pieces with wires in between!

Now what? Broken before I even get started. Poor directions!

Hi Andy,

I'm not sure which UPS you are referring to just based on the 650w indication. I can confirm however that all of SE APC Back-UPS units come with step-by-step pictorial instruction in the User Manual, as well as on a large yellow sticker which is affixed to the unit. Additionally, SE has an FAQ knowledge base with video instructions for battery installation and removal in case you may have any questions or uncertainty.

I would advise contacting your local SE Technical Support for assistance in replacing the internal battery.
