APC Back-UPS ES 750 RED/GREEN flashing lights?

Hi I have a APC Back-UPS ES 750 that I have used as a battery backup for a little over a year now and I woke up this morning to a continues beep, I went over to my computer gear and found that for some reason my UPS was emitting it and was flashing Red/Green lights about 4 times a second, without pause, os I turned it off and went away to get breakfast and stuff. I am now back at it and if I try to turn it on the light goes green for a few seconds until my computer starts turning on then the relay clicks and it flashes and beeps. I know it is not too much power for it to handle. I did remove the battery to power some camera equipment with, but that was weeks ago so I dont think that that was related.

Thanks in advance

Justin

The constant alert one and flashing red/green lights can indicate a disconnected or failed battery. Might the battery terminals have worked loose?

My BE750G had RED/GREEN flashing lights so I bought an APC branded battery (P/N: RBC17, S/N 0H2232L05463... came in an APC/Schneider box), replaced the battery (hot) and the lights are still flashing. Originally, it would alarm for about a minute every 4 to 5 hours. I have not let it sit for that long to see if it will still alarm.  I was surely expecting the lights to stop flashing. By looking at the posts here, the implication is that the new battery is bad.  Does it need to sit and charge? The old battery (maybe 6 years old) shows a 13.26 VDC charge.  Maybe it is something else? Ideas? I could reboot it but my next main cycle is next weekend. I would prefer to wait.
