well i just got a model BR1000G and it describes what the sensitivity setting are for and how to set them but i cant do it. it states to unplug everything form it but keep itself plugged in. then hold the power button for 6 or 10 seconds, i forget right now, and then i can push the button to the sensitivity i want. problem is i hold the button for the time i should but then when i push it to set the sensitivity nothing happens. i thought it was suppose to move the sensitivity scale up on the display to where i want it. im talking about the load bar window, isnt that where i set the sensitivity. im lost on it.

Hello again - This type of UPS does not provide any type of email notifications and even so, it'd require some type of software. Adjusting sensitivity is for the sensitivity of the UPS to power fluctuations and when it will or will not transfer to battery.
Mac OS X is able to just provide basic information in Energy Saver and allows you to adjust settings for graceful shutdown - meaning, based on settings you set, you can control when and if the UPS shuts down when the battery runs out and also tells your computer to shutdown.
Does this make a little more sense now?
