Just bought the APC BE550G. How much power does it draw while charging? How much power does it draw when battery is fully charged and no other device is plugged into it? Is it necessary to install PowerChute software? Thanks.

The internal power consumption of the UPS that you have is 3.3 watts and the total current drawn without load and with fully discharged batteries is 0.0525 amps.
