Hello -- I recently purchased a APC 650VA (model BV650I-MSX). When the power goes out at night the APC beeps very loud and wakes us up. Is there a way to mute the device?

Based on the full users manual this extremely basic model does not offer a physical mute button or ability to connect to APC Power Chute software:
In the former if the unit was beeping and the mute feature was available you could press the power button to temporarily mute the sound.
In the latter (IF) there was a USB port on the unit it could connect to a computer system running APC Power Chute Personal Edition (PCPE) / Power Chute Serial Shutdown (PCSS) software.
If present there would be an option to uncheck a box to disable the beeper when on battery only mode.
Let me know if this answers your questions. If so please do mark this reply as a solution so it may help the next person asking the same! 👍
Cheers! 🍺

In case anyone ever comes across this.... I solved it by physically removing the speaker found inside the device, which you can see being done in the YouTube video titled How to permanently disable audible alarm on APC Back-UPS ES-350 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vScnsXcEFjQ&t=72s)
