Hi all, have been searching the web to try and find out if I can configure the UPS useing the front two buttons and the LEDs like on the older but similar compaq 3000 units, does anybody know how to do this and where I can download it.
I need to set the unit so it does not switch off till the batteries need recharging.
Also I need to know what the outlet sockets on the rear of the unit power, 8 small and one large.
Regards Dave H

If u have an older ups without LCD display then u have to configure it with a computer only ( thru rs232 port or if u have anetwork card, thru the network). It cannot be configured by the front buttons. Hope it helps.

Hi Rossblanca,
By default, the UPS should run on batteries until it has entered it's low battery state which is when there is only 2 minutes left for the runtime. Can you provide the part# of the UPS so we can help you with what you want to do? You can get the part# from the white sticker with barcodes either at the back where the receptacles are or under the front bezel if the unit is rack mounted Thanks!
