I have an APC 1000 that is fully charged and brand new. However when I plug in my Dell server and monitor just after a few minutes it switches over to battery mode. It does this and there is no interruption in electrical power. It will keep doing this and not stop until it shuts down my server. I have plugged it into different outlets and the problem is still happening. Any ideas?

can you let us know the specific model? we have a couple 1000VA UPSs. it should be on a white sticker on the back of the UPS.
are you about to install the software that came with the UPS to see if that has any helpful information?
also - just to clarify, this ONLY happens when you plug in the server? does it happen if you plug in a lamp? or what about with no load at all?
let us know! thanks
