900G repeatedly goes to battery mode and back to AC mode

Hi all

I have a Backup-UPS Pro 900G which has been showing a strange behaviour lately. The connected NAS reports that the 900G repeatedly (always at a full or almost full hour) switches to battery mode and within a minute back to AC mode. There are 1-2 of these events per day. Is this normal?

Another question. Is there a software with which I can control the behaviour of the 900G from a remote PC. Both the 900G and the PC are connected to the local LAN.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Hi Bill

thanks for your response.

I have no idea if there is something happening on the power side when the 900G goes to battery mode for a few seconds. If this is not a known behaviour, I will try to figure out if there is a pattern in the times (besides always being around the full hour) that might give some hints.

Hi,

You can only connect 1 device to the Back-UPS USB port. If you would like to connect the PC you must first disconnect the NAS then connect the PC and assuming the PC is running a version of Windows os you can install PowerChute Personal Edition on the PC to monitor / control the Back-UPS.

What is happening at the time that the NAS reports the UPS is on battery? Is there a power failure, sage or increase in the incoming power?
