In the APC Quick start guide that came with my New Back-UPS, under Operating Environment it says that the unit should be at least 30cm away from a monitor. Is there a reason for this? Is it supposed to be 30cm from computer or monitor? I've attached a sample guide to reference.
Thanks,
~Aaron

We also use SmartUPS at our desks, and I recall some people in our office complaining about a wavy screen display. This was alleviated when the UPS was moved away from the monitor.
